This luxury wedding at Wequassett Resort is full of romantic details
Ever since Addy booked us for her wedding (18 months ago) we’ve been dying to show you this luxury wedding video at Wequassett Resort.
Addy & Tyler had a perfect mid-September day for their wedding at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Chatham, MA.
Their guests were treated to elegant, rich details that filled a glass ceiling tent dripping with gold lanterns—providing an atmosphere of intimate luxury surrounded by Wequassett’s english garden setting that overlooks Pleasant Bay.
Their wedding day at Wequassett Resort
When morning finally came, Addy got ready at one of the villas on premises at Wequassett. Everyone was buzzing with excitement.
Cheers to Addy & Tyler!
While all the ladies were having fun dancing in their adorable matching robes, Stacey Kuehn was there making her and her entire bridal party’s hair the most spectacular waves of curls and updos we’ve ever seen.
Meanwhile Tyler got ready in his suite with the guys in nearby Chatham. (Above a pizza shop—it was honestly unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, this Airbnb was sprawling—everytime we turned a corner the rooms kept going).
Almost time to jet off to Wequassett to get married! Cheers to that!
And the details… they were really something special. Family and tradition are a big part of Addy’s life and she wanted to make sure that reflected in her wedding.
Addy paid tribute to her late grandpa with a blue heart cut from one of his shirts sewn into her wedding dress. And she wore her grandmother and great grandmother’s gorgeous rings as her “something borrowed”.
Keeping her late grandpa close throughout the whole day
The tribute to her grandpa continued into the reception reception when the guests were treated to mini cherry pies made with special cherries from Wisconsin. A meaningful tribute to her grandpa as he used to make the family cherry pies with this specific cherry.
Love has never tasted so sweet.
It was was a touching display of gratitude to how much her grandpa meant to her and her family (and they were incredibly tasty).
The wedding ceremony on Wequassett Resort’s upper deck
Addy and Tyler chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other for the first time that day. And that made waiting for the moment they laid eyes on each other full of anticipation.
When Addy was escorted down the aisle by her dad and step-dad you could see the excitement all over Tyler’s face. Finally, one of their biggest moments arrived and it was everything they were hoping it would be.
Their ceremony was filled with honor and love as the ceremony proceeded with the Atlantic Ocean in the background.
The moment just before the bride and groom say “I do.”
After they said I do as husband and wife, all of their friends and family erupted in applause as they walked down the aisle. Immediately after, Addy and Tyler circled right outside for some incredible wedding party pictures, and then all the guests enjoyed cocktail hour on Wequassett’s gorgeous stone deck.
Their wedding reception in a stunning glass-ceiling tent on Wequassett’s lawn
When cocktail hour started, there was a signature drink called “The Chatham” named after Addy & Tyler’s dog (who wasn’t in attendance)—and they named their dog Chatham because of how much they love the town.
It was the perfect touch tribute to both their pup and the location they loved so much.
The reception was absolutely stunning—Allison and her team at Elegant Engagements did an incredible job of pulling everything together. The wedding reception was under a glass ceiling tent on the lawn with rustic farmhouse table seating and elegant gold lamps swinging from the rafters.
A champagne wall served double duty both greeting guests and holding their table assignments
A quick moment alone to practice their first dance
(pro-tip: try to get a few minutes alone with each other to savor the moment.)
Later that evening Kahootz kicked the party into high gear for one of the very BEST dances parties of the year. The dance floor was jam-packed all night and the band blew us away with their talent!
A successful party means the chairs you rented almost don’t get used.
Bride and groom have a magical ending to the perfect day.

I can tell you’re a person who’s excited about their wedding and loves wedding videos.
Because you did, I have a feeling you might be someone who is getting married on Cape Cod because you, too, have a special connection here. And you want your wedding film to be a true representation of your big day. The ceremony, the party, Cape Cod—all of it. Because it’s important
If that sound right—Sean and I invite you to get in touch with us and tell us what your vision is for you big day. We’d love to support your ideas and create a gorgeous film for you to pass down through the generations.
Hi! We're the Caugheys—husband & wife video team who have a life long love of all things Cape Cod & the Islands (probably just like you).
When we're not filming weddings on Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Boston, or heck, anywhere in New England—we're snuggling up with our rescue animals. And it's possible that Cindy's currently asleep on the couch "watching" one of our favorite shows on Netflix right now.
If you're considering getting a wedding film—we'd love to have a chat and talk about what that looks like to you and how we can best be of service!
