Cape Cod has always been important to Bethany
This made it an obvious choice for their wedding
Having a close connection with Cape Cod, there’s nothing we love more than our couple’s being equally enchanted with the region.
Bethany spent her summer weekends enjoying large family gatherings while visiting her grandparents down on the Cape. As she got older, Cape Cod became a haven for her, her brother, and their friends during summers—creating memories that would last a lifetime. As she and Jeff grew close, she introduced him to all the places that were so special to her and her family. Naturally, Jeff’s love for the Cape region grew and grew.
With so much family history and fond memories having been created here—there was no question that their wedding would be in Dennis and be incorporating some of their favorite spots, like Cold Storage Beach and Sesuit Harbor!
How Their Large Cape Cod Wedding Turn Into An Intimate Wedding
Even the pandemic couldn’t keep their wedding from being gorgeous and fun
The original plan was to pick a wedding venue that could hold ~250 people in a location that was important to them—but as 2020 lumbered on… we all knew weddings had to find a way to adapt if they were going to happen that year. Bethany and Jeff were determined to be wed. As stressful as 2020 was, they charged ahead with their planning with gratitude and grace.
Their wedding was moved from the Dennis Inn to her aunt and uncle’s private residence, and the guest list was cut down to 1/10th of the original size. When that late August day finally arrived—the atmosphere was electric with love and anticipation. The ceremony was open-air, and reception was under a quaint tent perfectly sized to their event.
As you can see from their highlight film, their intimate wedding was gorgeous and incredibly fun. All attendees spent quality time together, not a single thing about the day was rushed and yet it all went on-time.
How Bethany & Jeff Felt About Getting A Wedding Film
They weren’t always on the same page about wedding videography
Bethany always knew she wanted to have her wedding filmed! She had seen her friends’ videos and LOVED watching them. Jeff, on the other hand, thought that perhaps they could just have one of their friends film it with an iPhone but he didn’t need a lot of convincing from Bethany that the iPhone wasn’t her idea of capturing the memories of one of her biggest and most important days.
We always check with our couples if they have any hesitations about being in front of our cameras. Neither Bethany nor Jeff thought that they would be nervous but Jeff thought that there was the possibility that he would find it annoying—absolutely no staged filming.
As it turned out, we had filmed the wedding of Bethany’s friend. Their concerns dissipated when Joe raved about the film we created for them in 2019. Bethany was assured that we’re completely unobtrusive and out of the way while still capturing all the moments and Jeff was assured that we weren’t annoying.

We can’t wait to see you for your 2021 Anniversary and we know it’s going to be just as incredible. Because everything is wonderous when it comes down to two people as in love with each other as you are.
