Elizabeth and Mike had a perfect August day for their wedding at Wychmere Beach Club. Sunny and warm, with a gentle breeze and the perfect amount of cloud cover for gorgeous lighting without squinting into bright direct sun.
Elizabeth and Mike exchanged their vows under a huppah on Wychmere Beach Club’s grande lawn with sailboats gliding by in the background and their golden retriever at their feet.
Elizabeth’s family summered on Cape Cod when she was a baby and she eventually moved to the Cape when she was 4 years old.
Although they live in Florida now, it’s the smell of the fresh ocean air, and the beautiful beaches truly are something that she will always remember and miss daily! (You can move to another part of the same ocean, but nothing—NOTHING is the same as Cape Cod.)
As with many couples, Elizabeth introduced Mike to the Cape and he fell in love with the area as deeply as she had. He admits a part of it is because of just how much SHE’S in love with the Cape.
Hands down, the unbeatable ocean views!
But there was also some history here.
Elizabeth grew up nannying for a family at Wychmere Beach Club, so it had quite the special place to her before she even met Mike. She mentioned that when she nannied there, she was thankful every day to be able to be spending so much time in one of the most beautiful places to spend her summers!
And now, she was getting married there!
They admit that they have a slight obsession with Mike’s golden retriever, Mo. And Mo, almost stole the show as he came down the aisle wearing our pup cam—giving Elizabeth and Mike a Mo’s-eye view of the entire ceremony. (This turned out to be one of their favorite parts of their film.)
Two of the bridesmaids dressed up as a unicorn and a shark for the introductions.
As is typical for Cape Cod in August, it was humid, but that didn’t keep Mike from dancing the night away in his Louboutins! (Blisters be damned!)
Elizabeth and Mike, thank you so much for letting us capture your best day ever. It was an honor being part of your love story. Not only did we have a great time supporting you and capturing your wedding day memories—but we enjoyed all the time spent getting to know you better leading up to your big day.
We hope your future is filled with spicy margs, Mo mannerisms, and a whole lot of sushi!
Cheers to you!
