This stunning Summer Wedding at Popponesset Inn on Cape Cod is beyond compare. Sweet, funny, and everything in between—all the emotions are here in this wedding video.
back to THE MAIN BLOG
The sky was bright blue, the air was hot but the ocean air was cool and breezy.
They’ve been summering on Cape Cod since they were kids so it was only fitting Kim and Andrew celebrated tying the knot here.
Before we met up with the girls that morning who were getting ready at one of the houses in the New Seabury complex, we dropped our equipment off at the Poppy.
This venue is perfect for couples who want a relaxed Cape Cod atmosphere that they can create something of their own while being directly on the beach front.
It has the kind of Cape Cod feel that so many come here to experience: salty sea air, waves crashing on the beach, sea grasses swaying in unison… it’s all there for you and your guests.
It’s cozy and unpretentious. It can be transformed entirely into major glam or decked out in traditional blue and why hydrangeas.
The venue itself is right on the water giving you an unparalleled view of the ocean, and the sides of their permanent tent structure can be rolled up and down with whatever weather nature throws at it.
What makes the first look on video truly incredible is not only do you get to see it all over again, but you get to hear what you said to each other, too. That’s a really special moment a lot of couples really treasure when they get their wedding film. You can hear what Kim and Andrew said to each other if you skip ahead to 1 minute 10 seconds into the wedding film!
So what was it like? After Kim was dressed it was time for the first look with her Andrew.
He waited on the beach in front of the Popponesset Inn off to the side in the dunes—anxious to see Kim. Kim came sneaked up behind him and when he turned around they had the biggest smiles on their faces!
The moment they had together was so sweet. He was obviously so excited to see Kim for the first time that day!
Right after, we made our way straight to the church where the ceremony was being held!
This church is BEAUTIFUL.
Christ the King Parish is enormous. It’s bright, white, and filled with natural light. Friends and family reacted with thunderous applause when they were pronounced husband and wife. Everyone was clearly so happy for the newlyweds.
The sun was setting at the exact right moment and the universe gifted them with that kind of perfect pink and blue cotton candy sky Cape Cod is known for! The grounds of the venue were stunning and had so many amazing opportunities for places to get candid shots of them together!
To finish their beach session we got Andrew to be super candid and do a little twirl while holding Kim’s bouquet for her. Guys, this was SO funny and so sweet. Then it was time to kick off the reception and let me tell you, it was a blast! We had so much fun with Kim and Andrew’s family we kept asking each other, “can these guys adopt us somehow?!”
Intros started the party and the whole room was full of energy cheering and applauding the whole time!
After intros, they went straight into Kim and Andrew’s first dance which was so sweet. It’s as if they were having a moment totally to themselves like they were the only ones in the room which we absolutely loved! You can really tell how much fun they have together.
And, holy cow, the dance floor didn’t stop! This group was so fun and DJ Danny Walsh was AMAZING as usual. He’s so talented and amazing at keeping the energy high and everyone on the dance floor!
After some dancing, Kim’s dad took the floor to make a speech. It was so heartfelt. He shared memories, how happy he felt for Kim and Andrew and welcomed Andrew happily into the family! Kim’s maid of honor and Andrew’s best men also both gave amazing speeches filled with cherished memories and good laughs that everyone enjoyed!
I even got on the dance floor with Kim before Sean and I said our goodbyes—giving both of them big bear hugs before leaving.
Thank you for having us film your Popponesset Inn Wedding
Kim and Andrew, thank you soooo much for letting us capture your best day ever. It was an honor being part of your love story. We really couldn’t have had a better time being there for you.
I hope your future is filled with even more happiness, corny jokes, and love and your marriage is as dreamy as your wedding day was!
Cheers to you guys!!
